Tyler Michael James
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Tyler James is a visual effects producer and coordinator for film and television based in Los Angeles.
Tyler moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and began working as a freelancer compositor for music videos and narrative shorts. Having developed an interest in visual effects early on, Tyler made the jump into television visual effects production at CoSA VFX. There he worked as a Production Coordinator on handful of projects including Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Westworld. He later went on to work as the VFX Coordinator on Hulu's mini series adaption of Catch-22.
While working in film television, Tyler began to work as an independent film director and producer on the side. He's won multiple awards for his shorts and music videos including The Audience Award at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, Best Visual Effects at the Los Angeles Short Film Festival, and Best Experimental Short at the CineYouth Film Festival. In 2016, he was selected as a finalist for the Roy W Dean Grant for his narrative short 62 Million.
In 2016, he launched the independent film production company Ad Opus out of Los Angeles, California. Tyler was born in 1993.
