Aashiq Abu did his graduation from Maharajas College, Ernakulam, where he was an active member for student union for consecutive years. He married Malayalam actress Rima Kallingal in the year 2013. Aashiq Abu was working as an assistant to director Kamal for few years and later in the year 2009 he came up with his first movie "Daddy Cool". His movies "Salt N' Pepper" (2011), "22 female Kottayam" (2012) are his best known films and later remade to other languages. Aashiq Abu has also done few Ad films.
