Born in Mexico, Carlos Morett went to Canada to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker. He was graduated in Communication Sciences with a degree in Film Direction at Vancouver Film School in Canada; after that, Carlos continued his education and improve his skills in traditional and digital animation at Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, and later, when he moved to Spain, at Complutense University of Madrid, where he graduated with a master's degree in Digital Technologies. He reached the success with his first major project, the internationally acclaimed Cíclope (2009), a short film shot in Madrid and distributed by Disney in 90 theaters throughout Spain before the Bruce Willis's sci-fi blockbuster Surrogates (2009). His second short film as a filmmaker is Morphos (2010), the first fiction short film to be filmed in stereoscope in Spain, which was produced and released with the sponsor of Telefonica and Ericsson. Carlos resides in Madrid, where he continue developing new projects with his production company, Ignoto Planet.
