Raised in the Chicago suburb, Des Plaines, Carrie always knew she was going to Hollywood to pursue acting which was fully supported by her mother, Lynnette. Carrie attended Maine West High School and was active in the Speech Team, Choir and the radio station, WMTH. She describes her high school years as being the "Queen of the Geeks". It took her a bit more time than she anticipated but finally moved west in 2000 after a three year stay in Chicago as a Stage Manager for the Raven Theatre and worked as an office manager at an advertising company. She even worked a little over a year for Blue Man Group at the Briar Street Theater. Once coming to Los Angeles, she soon changed her ambitions to producing which she has been very successful with by producing indie features and working on various television programs. In 2010, she reconnected with her passion for acting and cast herself in "Plain Jen", a script (short and feature length) she wrote and produced. Having received international notoriety for her portal of the "geeky-Chicago-girl-turned-glam" by being the 'non-traditional starlet', any apprehension she had for playing the role was quickly quelled when there was an outpour of support after the publication of her interview in the UK magazine "Just as Beautiful". Carrie is someone to definitely keep an eye on for her slate of projects are growing and there doesn't seem to be an end to her rise.
