Chad was raised on the outskirts of Denver, Colorado prior to attending the film program at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2000. In 2003, Chad moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he found various work as a temp on the 20th Century Fox Studio Lot. He has since worked as VFX supervisor on such acclaimed television shows as Mr. Robot (2015) and Homecoming (2018), in addition to working as a visual effects artist on the films Gone Girl (2014) and Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014), among several others projects.
