Jordan Murphy was born in Barking, London, UK on the 2nd of July 1990. He started his acting career in small theatre productions, before auditioning for the National Theatre's Young Company. Jordan worked with various writers, and directors in development of new plays for the Connections festival. Jordan performed in a production of More Light, on the Olivier stage at the National Theatre. Jordan also auditioned for a place in the prestigious RADA Youth Group. At RADA Jordan trained in acting and performed in a production of Shakespeare's Pericles Prince of Tyre, performing the title role. Jordan Murphy has since gone on to work on television shows, and movies.

Along with consistent commercial work Jordan has recently appeared on "NCIS", "Dirty John", "Days of Our Lives" and the holiday feature - "Winter Wedding". Jordan has also found time to produce and host his podcast "BREAKTHROUGHS with Jordan Murphy" In between Jordan's hosting gigs, he has appeared in two prime time pilots (CBS and ABC) as well as guest star roles on CSI Miami, Parenthood, ABC's Better off Ted, Las Vegas, Charmed, The Comeback on HBO, Scrubs and JAG to name a few. His independent features include: Layover, Cowboys and Angels, and Sabotage. He's perhaps best known for delivering "You're Just a Tool" as the host of VH1's smash hit Tool Academy, a competition reality show featuring nine "unsuspecting bad boys" duped by their girlfriends into enrolling in a "relationship boot camp". Jordan proved successful at hosting relationship shows and tricking contestants looking for love, from his four seasons on NBC's hit reality show For Love or Money. While hosting prime time, Jordan was hosting a make-over show on USA. Before and Afternoon which showed Jordan's improv skills, ease with product placement and his ability to help real people look and feel comfortable on camera - no easy task. Jordan has shown that he feels at home in-studio, cooking and entertaining, on Fine Living's Lulu's House and seems very comfortable dusting himself off as he steps out of a helicopter on the edge of the Grand Canyon to surprise a lot of smokers when he was the faux host for PAX's Cold Turkey Television.
