Kenny Chin was born on April 5, 1951 in Hong Kong. At age 12, he began studying various Kung Fu styles including Choy Li Fut and Eagle claw. It was while in school that he became interested in acting when he was discovered by a casting agent. He appeared as a background actor for a number of Hong Kong films in the 60's before moving to New York City with his family. After graduating college, Kenny began his computer career as a programmer/analyst. He also taught Kung Fu martial arts, part time, at the same dojo with the world famous 'Black Dragon' Grandmaster Ron Van Clief. Around the early 70's, when martial arts gained popularity thanks to Bruce Lee, Kenny opened his own martial arts schools. His acting dream was put on hold for a number of years as he focused on his IT career and teaching. He remained working as an IT consultant before he was forced into early retirement. It was at this time that he began looking for new opportunities, which eventually led him back to acting. His first paid acting role was as a background actor for The Interpreter (2005) with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. He has since appeared in countless movies and television shows including principal roles for Coca-Cola and Esurance commercials and in print advertisements. He also appeared in the comedy, Mancation (2012) with Joey Fatone and in the 2015 Oscar award winning film, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) alongside Emma Stone and Michael Keaton. He has a recurring role in The Fever (2015), a web-series created and directed by Lorenzo Anderson. Kenny is a Member of SAG/AFTRA. He is married and has 2 children.
