Educated at Shrewsbury School. Studied at Leeds University and awarded a B.A. (Honours) in Classics. Worked as a journalist at the Doncaster Evening Post, the Birmingham Post and his first work in broadcasting was on BBC Radio Birmingham. He joined ATV Network's sports department and covered football's 1982 World Cup. First met Anne Diamond when he worked as a presenter on regional TV in the Midlands. His great break came when he joined newly launched TV AM as sports presenter. This brought him to national attention and two months later he had replaced David Frost as the main presenter. He shared the stage with Anne Diamond again. This partnership continued until 1986. His next move was to ITV Sport. In 1992 Nick and great friend Anne Diamond moved to the BBC to present the corporation's flagship morning broadcast, Good Morning with Anne and Nick. Poor rating caused the BBC to axe the show in 1996. He has also worked for West Country Television, satellite channels and caused a stir when he interviewed disgraced former TV presenter Frank Bough. Nick loves sport, in particular football and cricket, and keeps active by playing squash.

Nick first became interested in acting when his mom pushed him to audition for a community theatre production of "Pirates of Penzance". Nick was cast as a pirate and instantly fell in love with the stage. He began studying acting on weekends and taking theatre and jazz performance in high school. When he and his entire family were selected for a national WalMart/Sony PS2 commercial, Nick realized he preferred the camera to the stage. Despite being offered a full academic scholarship to a university, Nick decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his love of film and television. He does not regret his decision.

As an editor and producer, Paley has been nominated for two Emmys, won an American Cinema Editors Award and screened work at Telluride, TIFF and Cannes. Paley frequently collaborates with Fleischer Camp as a writer and director for their company, Sunbeam Film & Television.

After graduating the United States Military Academy at West Point, Nick Palmisciano served for 6 years as an infantry officer before shuffling off into the world of business. Under it's umbrella, Nick created a very popular YouTube Channel catering to the military, police, fire and EMS. In addition to creating comical internet fare, Nick has produced several documentaries focused on veterans. Warriors (2013) which centers around the Army Combatives world, and True Silence, which focuses on one veteran's successful coping mechanism from a traumatic brain injury, both received critical acclaim. In 2015, Nick, along with Ross Patterson, Mat Best, Jarred Taylor, Jack Mandaville, and Vincent Vargas wrote and produced the first ever veteran-made action-comedy: Range 15. Range 15 is the fourth largest crowd sourced movie of all time and premieres in May 2016.
