Willa Ford
Willa first became popular in 2001 as the self proclaimed Bad Girl of Pop when she released her debut album. Outside of music Willa hosts a few reality television shows. Also after studying opera for over four years Willa achieved a degree as a professional opera singer and is also whistle registered. Willa was born and raised in Ruskin Florida. She began pursuing her dream of becoming a singer at the age of 8 when she started singing with the Tampa Bay Childrens Choir. By the time she reached age 11 she had moved on from the children's choir to the Tampa-based children's performing arts troupe Entertainment Revue. This group consisted of 20 girls ages 5 to 16 who toured the area and sang at such places as Walt Disney World and Busch Gardens. Willa moved her way up from a chorus member to the role of featured soloist. When Willa was 15 she left the troupe and landed spot with a local foursome called FLA. She didn't stay long with the group before deciding to head out to Los Angeles. In 1999 Willa then performing under the stage name Mandah was signed to Music Corporation of America MCA. While with MCA she released a song called Lullaby on the double-platinum soundtrack Pokemon The First Movie. She also landed a spot as an opening act for the Backstreet Boys which brought her attention for her performances as well as her relationship with one of the groups members Nick Carter. Soon Willas label changed her stage name from Mandah to avoid confusion with another female singer to Willa Ford and tried to promote her as a beautiful singer with a good girl image. After some negative publicity that tainted their clean-cut image for Willa MCA decided to drop her letting her move on to a label that would embrace her bad girl image. While during a mall tour for Nautica Kids Willa was noticed by LavaAtlantic Records. It wasn't long before LavaAtlantic would give Willa a deal and put her into their recording studio with a diverse variety of writers and producers. Unlike some other teen singers at the time Willa preferred to write most of her lyrics herself as well as executive produce the songs herself. On July 17 2001 Willa released her debut album Willa Was Here. The album contained the single I Wanna Be Bad. The album used smooth pop/R&B grooves and hot dance beats and vocoders. The album reached 56 on the Billboard 200 album chart and became a multi-platinum smash worldwide. In 2001 Willa served as the spokesperson for Pantene ProVs ProVoice campaign and appeared on the in-concert cable special Teensation. Also Willa hosted MTVs Total Request Live TRL and Say What Karaoke many times. MTV was impressed by Willas hosting and she received a contract with them. In 2002 Willa co-wrote and sang a duet with South Korea pop star Park Ji Yoon entitled Nastified which appeared on Parks 5th album Man. Also Willa hosted The Morning After which lasted throughout 2003 along with her debut reality series I Bet You Will. Her song I Wanna Be Bad became the theme song for Six Flags theme parks and was also used by 7 Up for one of their campaigns. Willa also became a model for Bongo ads. In 2003 Willa came back with a hot dance song that forever immortalized a sorority chant A Toast To Men which featured guest rapper Lady May. The single was from her unreleased sophomore album Sexysexobsessive. The single did well, but because of some legalities at her label her album wasn't released. This also caused her to leave the label and go in search of a new one. While fans wait for her sophomore release Willa has kept herself busy outside of music. In 2005 she hosted the first season of the fighting competition reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter. After the shows finale Willa got a shot at being the 2005s summers guest doll for the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls show. In 2006 she was one of the four celebrity quarterbacks for the Dallas Desires in the third Lingerie Bowl which was shown on pay-per-view during halftime of Super Bowl XL. In the May 2006 issue of Stuff Magazine, Willa ranked 48 in the supplement 101 Sexiest Online Women.
Willa Holland
Willa Joanna Chance Holland (born June 18, 1991) is an American actress, voice actress and model. She is known for her role as Kaitlin Cooper in the FOX teen drama The O.C., Agnes Andrews in The CW series Gossip Girl and, most recently, Thea Queen / Speedy in Arrow. Holland was born in Los Angeles, to cinematographer Keith Holland and actress Darnell Gregorio-De Palma. Her mother was remarried to director Brian De Palma from 1995-97. She grew up with two sisters: Brianna Holland (b. 1988) and Piper De Palma (b. 1996). Holland attended Palisades Charter High School for only six weeks because her career was taking off and school peers were dismissive of her acting pursuits. At age seven, Holland played at her stepfather's neighbor's house in The Hamptons, New York. The neighbor, Steven Spielberg, was filming home videos and told Holland's parents, "You've got to put her in front of a camera". Upon returning to Los Angeles that September, Holland signed with Ford Modeling Agency at age seven, and immediately booked a shoot for Burberry. The following year, 1999, De Palma took Holland to a theatrical talent agency. Since then she has appeared in many national commercials. During 2001 when Holland was ten, she worked alongside her cinematographer father in Ordinary Madness (2001). She was even slated to co-star in the 2005 Fox series The Inside with fellow model Rachel Nichols, but left the show when writer Tim Minear was brought in to overhaul it. She played the role of Kaitlin Cooper on The O.C. (2003); initially as a recurring character in season 3, but then as a regular in season four. In December 2007, Holland was cast in the independent drama film Garden Party (2008), playing the role of April, a troubled teenage aspiring model who tries to make it in Los Angeles. In September 2008, The CW announced Holland would appear in three episodes of the second season of the teen-drama television series Gossip Girl (2007), created by The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz. Holland played the role of Agnes Andrews, a rebellious 16-year-old model who befriends and creates havoc for Taylor Momsen's character. She also appeared in the films Middle of Nowhere (2008) and Genova (2008). In March 2010, Holland made a one-off return in the 16th episode of the third season, Gossip Girl: The Empire Strikes Jack (2010), which aired March 29, 2010. She voiced Aqua in the PlayStation Portable title, "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep", which was released on September 7, 2010 in North America. That same year, Holland starred in her first major studio film in the apocalyptic thriller film Legion (2010), playing the role of a bratty teenager. She played teen-temptress Janice Heddon in the film Straw Dogs (2011), a remake of the 1971 film of the same name. The film opened in September 2011. In February 2012, Holland was cast in The CW action-adventure series Arrow (2012), based on the Green Arrow comic books, where she plays Thea Queen, the sister of Oliver Queen. In the film Tiger Eyes (2012), released in April 2012, Holland starred as Davey Wexler. The film was based on the 1981 novel of the same name, written by Judy Blume.

Willard Bowsky
Motion picture animator best known for his contributions to the Popeye the Sailor cartoons of the 1930s. Born in New York City, Bowsky joined the Fleischer Studios in the late 1920s and quickly became one of its star artists, winning promotion to animator at age 23. His drawing skills and instinctive feel for jazz rhythms made him an asset on such early Betty Boop cartoons as the classic "Minnie the Moocher" (1932). He became a supervising animator in 1933. Although Dave Fleischer was the credited director of all the studio's output, he left the "staging" of the films to men like Bowsky, who headed their own creative teams. Bowsky's work was quite stylish in its fluid movement and well-chosen compositions. From 1933 to 1941 he was animation director for over 30 Popeye cartoons, including the Technicolor two-reelers "Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor" (Academy Award nomination, 1936) and "Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves" (1937), and collaborated in that capacity on the Fleischers' feature-length films "Gulliver's Travels" (1939) and "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" (aka "Hoppity Goes to Town", 1941). His last work was on the "Superman" series (1941 to 1942), the first time that comic strip superhero was brought to the screen. When Paramount Pictures reorganized the Fleischer company as Famous Studios in 1942, Bowsky left for World War II service in the US Army. He was commissioned a Lieutenant in the 94th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, 14th Armored Division, and saw action in the Normandy Invasion. On November 27, 1944, Bowsky and four men in his platoon were killed in a nighttime firefight with German forces east of Paris, France. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. Bowsky is buried at the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial in Saint-Avold, France.
